Research Lines

  • Creation and research in/of contemporary art
  • The alphabetic sign and the word as a sculptural material and concept. The word as a reference in sculpture. Sculpture and the search for meaning: the generation of sense.
  • Art and gender. The creative experience and the feminine condition. The relationship between women and contemporary art, from aesthetic, critical, political, and market perspectives, with a special emphasis on the interrelationships between the art-woman binomial in the international, Spanish, and Galician spheres.
  • The body and the current artistic project. Body and sculpture:
    • The body as a problem.
    • The body as a material.
    • The body as a place.
    • The body as experience.
    • Body, identity, and existence.
  • Artistic creations, both visual and conceptual, in which motif, intention, and media are situated in the concept of nature: reflection on new spaces, nature as a place of artistic experience, and the interrelation of body and nature.
  • Sculpture and public space. Poetics and politics of/in the city: places, transitions, and habitability. Encounters, drifts, and escapes between sculpture and architecture.
  • The fourth dimension: time and movement in sculpture.
  • Teaching methodologies in contemporary artistic creation.
  • Artistic management and organization.
